White is my favorite flower color. If we get at least 5 participants we will go forward. Sign up until April 2 and any seeds sent to the swap should be postmarked by April 10. I want to turn this one around as quickly as possible so that we still have time to sow. I will mail out as soon as I have received everyone's envelope.

To paraphrase my predecessors:

Any seed that produces a white flower, fruit, herb or vegetable or has a name including the word ÂWhiteÂ or brings the color white to mind is welcome. Please do not send anything other than seeds (no plants, bulbs, cuttings, etc.).

Please donÂt send invasive plants, noxious weeds, or seeds more than 2 years old (unless you know theyÂre viable.). Please include the following on the packet label: the name of the seed, year collected/packed for, your GW name, and whether your seeds are from a commercial source or hand-collected.

You may send as many as 10 packets or as little as 1: any amount over 10 will be considered extra. Those who send extras will get extras back, depending on the varieties sent in. Please donÂt send more than 2 packets of the same variety.

Please send in the number of seeds per pack that you would be comfortable receiving yourself. This may vary depending on the variety. As a general rule, there should be a minimum of 10 seeds per pack.

After signing up here on this thread, please send me an e-mail with your full name & address and your GardenWeb name. Early next week I will start sending my mailing information if there is sufficient interest.

Include all of the following in the bubble envelope with your seeds:

1 Mailing label with your full address on it.

2. Stamps equal to what you used to mail your envelope to me. Don't worry about sending more than that.

3. Please make sure your GW name appears on any packet you send in so that I don't return your own seeds to you.

4. Please let me know if you'd prefer edibles, ornamentals or a mix. I will do my best to adhere to your wishes within the limits of what is sent in. If there's something 'White' that you're specifically looking for, feel free to post it here and include a note in your envelope.

Hi everyone hope you had a Happy Easter! I have received one block from Linda. I have not received blocks from Christy and Cindy yet. I got to go view a large display of handmade quilts near Forest Hill, Louisiana, I think it might have been called Longleaf, Louisiana? yesterday - any way they had a beautiful display of quilts in preparation for the Heritage Festival this coming Saturday. So wish I had not forgotten my camera. Gave me lots of great ideas for future quilts. They had a beautiful pink and creme/white log cabin quilt - these were all large quilts, they had one with lighthouse blocks like 2ft x 3 ft blocks, and my favorite was one with flower baskets made of triangles and with flowers appliques coming out of the baskets - one even had a blue shrimp plant in bloom - was just too cool! And they were all local quilts. Is nice to know there are other quilters in central Louisiana. I have not met anyone in my small community who quilts. They have a quilting guild several towns away, but have not had time to go, maybe one of these days. Are any of you in quilting guilds? Best to you, Sandra

Thank you for the yummy smelling vanilla bean simmering waffle bar. I like the smell of vanilla VERY much. Thank you also for the very pretty wind chimes. Pink with silver etching--just beautiful. I didn't put them out today after school, though, as the wind was reeealy blowing, and I was afraid something would happen to them. I will see what tomorrow holds. I googled the brodiaea Queen Fabiola bulbs that you sent. I was really clueless.(what's new sometimes) They look like my favorite color of blue!!! THANK you! I esPECially loved your letter. So newsy and sweet. Plus a nice selection of seeds to divide between our friends. Beth, your seeds are here, too, along with a number of fulfilled wishes. I want to thank you for the darling little soft brown puppy with the dark brown ears and wearing BUNNY EARS! It is so darn cute! Poor thing is trying to lug around this clear carrot filled with jelly bean eggs. Patty, I forgot to thank you for the seeds that you sent to me-tall green nicotiana and milk chocolate foxglove. I am absolutely THRILLED!!! As I have said to the rest of you, I think you will also be happy when you see what seeds you will be getting, too. Since this thread is so close to 100, I believe I will be starting back at 1 sometime this evening. Veeja, Tisha is so cute, I just love her! I know she's in good hands with you since everyone has left their pets for you to care for, or "adopt" shall we say? My sister has the same heart for animals you do, and she always has four or five dogs at a time, some transitory and some permanent. I remember how she used to always walk up to dogs as a child when we were walking to school. Some so large and ferocious looking, I thought she'd be eaten by them, lol. Being four years her elder, my mother always entrusted my younger sister to my care. Anyway, to make a long story short, all the animals loved her and she would pet and talk to them. Now we have such fond memories of those "good times" we had in our childhood and I affectionately call her "Dr. DoLittle" everytime she takes in another stray. Have a wonderful day everyone. Sue N.

Starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I have a shower for my daughter coming up May 6th and then the wedding 5 weeks later. My daughter who is away at college is suffering from an impacted tooth and is scheduled to have her wisdom teeth removed next Thursday. This will be where she is going to school which is 2 hours from here. I should be there with her but I can't get the day off at our little gift shop. Not enough people for coverage and it is a plant delivery day. My son is having some enemia issues and is 18. Now he needs an MRI on some lower abdominal swelling and then will have to see a GI doctor. My second son (have 5 kids) just got a job in Dallas, Texas and he and his wife will be moving there as soon as there house sells in South Carolina. The darn wet and cold weather isn't helping either. I have a plant swap I have to get done. The old "when it rains, it pours". I have enjoyed this swap immensely. Thank you Shirley for such a great time. Loved this idea and hope we do it again sometime. Margo

Alana ~ on your picture posting on April 5th, the first pic.. what flower is that ? That's just gorgeous! Is it some type of frilly morning glory?

I forgot to mention previously, but I am interested in ornamentals only and/or any white flowering herbs would be fine as well. I have PLENTY of veggies sprouting right now. :)

Linda, I sent you an email. Hibiscusfan, I received your seeds.
Sassy, that is a hige flowered Ipomoea purpurea. So pretty! It is not a named cultivar and not all of the plants from the seed I save are white. Each year there are some very dark purples and some light blues. Let me know if you would like me to send you some seeds knowing that there is a high probability some of them will look like this:

Alana ~ If I received only those seeds for the Ipomoea I would be thrilled! lol I love love love to see what surprises come from OP seeds like that. I would really love to try growing them this year in my garden!!
