Training Tomatoes up the Netting

Hi all,

I am having trouble finding this on a search, so I apologize if it's already been answered.

When training tomatoes up the nylon netting, do you "weave" the main tomato stem in and out of the squares? Or do you tie them to the netting as they grow? I have seen it mentioned both ways.... but "weaving" it seems to have so many back and forth bends that I didn't know if the netting will start cutting into the plant when it starts filling up.

And when you pinch off the branches, is the goal basicaly to have one big stalk that sits flat on the netting, or do they stil become sort of bushy. I was wondering if I should or would want to use a tomato cage instead of the netting for the indeterminates to reign them in a bit. (I saw someone over on the container forum that basically stacks two cages on top of eachother to make an enormously tall cage.

Finally, I can't seem to find a picture of it anywhere with plants in full fruit done on a trellis, so if you have one, would you please share?

Thanks,

kristi
