There is a web site that is very helpful to use when posting here that you don't allow to be linked to. It's one that takes long url's and shortens them to under 25 characters. To me, there is nothing worst than following a post and someone pastes in a large url, making the post get really wide and messing up the format of the whole post. I don't think it would be as bad if we were able to edit our posts here. Someone could send the link poster the html code to shorten the url.

I'd like to ask that you reconsider the use of "tiny url". This would at least allow people that don't understand html code to get in the habit of posting shortened url's.

If one would simply post URLs in the "Optional Link URL" box below a post, there is no problem with long URLs, and they do not stretch the page in the posts.

There is no such thing when originally posting a message. It seems is only available for replies.

Maybe they could change that.

Um...it looks fine. No bamboo Plants for sale however. Plus if you don't have DSL it would take forever to load your index page. Other than that it's fine.

Kayjones, the trivia game has nothing to do with the KT. It's a site Casey found and she kindly set up a game for the KT. Most of us do use our KT name and whatever password we want to use. You should join us--it's the most frustrating fun I have all day! LOL!

Since we're posting links to our kitchens this was the partially finished reveal back in 2010 to my condo. It showed the before and after. I sold the condo this past May. Here are a few pics from it completely finished and staged. (What's missing are the Mission studio lights over the bar area and the Arroyo Craftsman sconces in the dining room, since we removed those and put less expensive lights for selling. The Mission Studio lights will be going in our new build).

junkyardgirl, after previewing an original post and before submitting click the back button.

It's a very old glitch (from back as far as 1997). Some titles do not immediately allow the optional URL.

All you have to do is click on preview, then scroll down, you will get the option to add the link. I don't know why the forum was set up this way, and why don't they change it?

The thing is, if someone posts multiple links and does not know how to use html, it's back to wide posts due to long url's. I think it's easier to add the tiny url to the allowed list.
