Ask The Yard Doctor

Since you have this listed on the top of every forum in both GardenWeb and The Home Site, it is quite obvious you want people to look at it.

One problem is the title "Yard Doctor" is misleading; I have a yard, however I don't have a lawn. As a result, you appear to be getting non lawn questions. Why isn't a staff person from GW deleting the non lawn questions, so that more attention could be paid to the lawn ones? I'm not sure why GW is making a big to do over this forum if "The Yard Doctor" is only going to selectively answer questions. Many of the questions he apparently doesn't plan on answering look to be very good questions, imo.

We are aware that there are questions that aren't related to lawn care and those questions will eventually be deleted. However, this does not mean that the Yard Doctor will not answer all of the questions that do relate to lawn care because there are other types of questions listed. The header very clearly states where his expertise lies. And, he can only answer so many questions each day -- but, will plan on answering all lawn questions over the next few days.

Floral, it seems to be hit or miss as to whether posts that include that forum in their cross posting (and don't get me started on that fiasco!!) are able to be commented on or not. The post you reference above does have a comment posted but no way for me to add comments either. This is one of those times when I make use of the flagging options and flag the thread as "miscategorized". That seems to stimulate the Houzz powers that be to reclassify the thread under the other forum headings. Or open up the comment box :-)
