You have some real beauties.I like every one of them.Ilove this forum to come see all the beautiful blooms.Seems like all I have been doing for the last few weeks is digging up DL's and disposing of them.Last spring a friend invited me to come along and dig up some daylilies his aunt or cousin told him he could have,as she was moving and didn't want to dig them up.So we went and dug up all of them,then we divided them,and I brought half of them home and worked for several days planting about 50 DL's.Only 1 or 2 bloomed last summer,and they were keepers,but,this year we found out what kind of DL's they were.They were not blooming when we dug them up.Now most of them are the old Ditch DL's.I forget what they called,, starts with a K.I do remember that.Those things have shot out roots every where,and putting out more of them,which I am pulling up,too.I think out of all of them,I have about 6 good ones.No names on any of them,but they are blooming light yellow or a peach color.Very plain,but pretty.So I love to come here and see all the beauties. Thank you all for your input. It wouldn't surprise me at all -- another box store purchase so either TC or something else entirely. Nice to have the experts weigh in on it since I've never seen how SDC should look in person locally. For now I'll relabel it as "unknown". Now it's off to the field! Danielle

Mike and Jain, thanks for your comments, glad you liked the photos! I got all of these from a friend who had moved into a new house where she and her hubby (not gardeners) were going to bulldoze an old neglected perennial bed. I got quite a few treasures out of that deal, including the iron rams that I painted and mounted on the fence rail - those were apparently used for target practice! Needless to say, I was thrilled to rescue all these beautiful plants.
