What a gorgeous work of art. A professional could not have done any better. This is pure poetry. You have a real talent for flower arrangement. The colors and shapes of the flowers are superb together, and so appropriate for a church arrangement.

WOW!! Now thats one beautiful arrangement. I try to make arrangements all the time for our home and for our business. Thank you, dear friends, for your kind comments. I am really glad that you like my arrangement. I hope it holds well till tomorrow morning - I had to pick roses today because we have heavy rain forecast for today and tomorrow.

Lesley, the rose you are asking about is marked as 'Scintillation' but I believe, this is a mistake - because Scintillation is a once-bloomer and my rose blooms all summer long.
I identified it myself (I can be wrong) as another English rose 'Rushing Stream'.

That is nice. If you don't already, you might try entering the arrangement sections in rose shows. You might do rather well. I'll bet there is some fragrance to that arrangement also with all those Austins in it.

The black and white photo is very interesting, because it draws the attention more to the different shapes of the roses rather than their colors and shows more clearly how well they are enhancing each other.

I would love to see more photos of your garden, roses, and bouquets!

Masha, I forgot to answer your question. Yes, this white single rose is very fragrant - I would say it has a prominent clove note. The whole arrangement is perfuming my kitchen now :o)

YES. that vase of roses is wonderfull I can only wish to get a single cut rose to last longer than a couple days I read alot of stuff online and tried evrything they suggested from a penny and backing soda to a touch of sugar ect ect ect I tried hang drying to pedal pressing and all that too OMG that vase is so beautifull whats the trick to help em last longer than a day or two and if it's flower freash where can I get some ?

Now that is simply beautiful to see such a grand arrangement of roses. I am green with envy since I have the materials - but don't have the talent to arrange them so nicely. I have got to learn more than my 'plonks' and do arrangements instead. Great inspiration Marina!

I know such arrangement of roses doesn't last long, but I don't really care since I have so many roses and can make new ones. I am sure it lifted the spirit of others in your congregation. Beauty such as this shortlived, but will like the beauty of what Christ did for us with his atonement, be remembered forever.
