LOL! My soil is not acid; it has lots of lime. I think Karen has a different type of horsetail in her pot. There are many types. Field horsetail Equisetum arvense is an evil weed that will grow in any soil, poor, rich, baking sun, moist shade. I remember reading an article about in in Horticulture and the writer recommended moving as a solution, lol. I'm sorry you have it Carol. I've been pulling it up for a long time. I didn't know it before, but it puts up spore producing stems that look different than the regular little tree looking ones and they aren't as numerous. Google for some pics if you don't know what they look like. At least if you can control those better, you can slow the spread some. I wish I had a better answer for you, but being that it comes up with all the plants in flower beds, it can't be sprayed. Remy
