For some reason I forgot to post these two pics of The Incredible Mr. Fairchild. As you can see, it had begun to drizzle, and we actually seem to have a chance of more rain! Let's hope they're not lying to us again, Sylvia. I hope your baby grows up enough to have lots of blooms. I pinched off buds until I was blue in the face, but the bush is a good size and shapely, so it was worth it. Love the blooms too. Thank you, dear Sheila. Your continuing encouragement is the greatest thing.

Thanks everyone! ac91, my Carding Mill starts off a darker shade of apricot and fades to the color you see in the picture. I love the color at all stages. rosiewells, I do not have my pole wrapped in wire, but I wish I had thought of that. This is an old telephone pole that is not used anymore. There is a newer one next to it. I simply put some nails in it and tied string from one nail to the next. It seemed to work. Now I just sort of wrap Peggy into herself. It's still a work in progress. I am just loving this time of year!

Thank you all! HalloBlondie and Daniela I think Mme Ernest Calvat is such a beautiful rose, love the fragrance too. Last year it was lovely, but the blooms were paler than I think they will be this year. Roses can look so different in different areas, and even different in the same location from one year to the next.

Bayourose - Thank you. I've had my Royal William quite a few years. It is a dependable rose, sometimes a little slow to repeat and averages about one dozen blooms per flush, which I consider fair. Mine used to get very tall, but in recent years it probably doesn't get over 4 ft. tall. It has a nice tea fragrance and I consider it a true red, it is a pretty rose in person. Even though I don't consider it a heavy bloomer, I always enjoy the blooms I do get.

They all look so picture perfect Sara Ann!! I've tried to grow Peace two times and it died. I need to try one more time. Not sure what the problem is. Your bloom of it is gorgeous!! Judy

Thanks Prettypetals. I have two Peace bushes in the same bed, but not next to each other, the bush with the rose pictured repeats quickly, but the other one is just sitting there, it looks healthy, hopefully it will bloom again by fall. Roses can be so unpredictable! If you really like it I wouldn't give up on it yet.

Wow!!! Peace looks incredible!!!! That is exquisite!!! Did you put it on helpmefind? You should! :)

Your Double Delight looks amazing!!! I get frustrated with mine - blooms never look that nice. :) It's on its 2nd year - I'm going to give it another year, then might think on whether I should keep it. Pictures like yours makes me want to hang on to it!!! Lovely!!

Thank you Seil, Iris and Carol. It almost seems trite for me to say it, but I do love Peace! Carol, I haven't put any roses on HMF yet, maybe one of these days. I hope your Double Delight starts doing better.
