I think all nine of my a. macrophylla seedlings are still alive. I still have three each in three containers. I kept one container in my garage over winter and the other two against my south wall outside. My seedlings didn't start growing much until late summer and then they all grew a foot or more and I had to untangle them from each other. It was difficult to get them apart without breaking the stems. (I did break a couple) So I think if I let them share a container this summer, they will always have to share. I'd never get them apart - unless they'll re-sprout when cut to the ground. Maybe I need to put them in separate containers??? I'm so excited that they made it through the winter and if they grow fast enough, I'll be ready for the Pipevine Swallowtails this summer.
