I have copied all your instructions into a book and I am going to follow them now.

This is my youngest daughter with Blossomtime. These photos are the ones I originally wanted to post. They were taken at my friend's large rose garden last Autumn.

Now I have got it ! That was easy.

Except I have been trying to put other photos on and it keeps repeating the same first photo instead.

Are you clicking on share above your photos on photobucket?

Or how are you doing it???

If clicking on share, each separate photo will give you a different link.

What a beautiful girl she makes the rose look plain; such gorgeous blue eyes. I for one am so happy that you stuck with it and did't give-up on tring to post. That in its self tells us alot about you. NOW I can set back and enjoy some AWESOME roses I'm sure.

Thanks for all the compliments, brom friends! - I'll make sure they are passed onto Jack, of whom we are very proud :) John and Agatha - one fine day I hope to be the proud owner of all these hybrids, plus the rest of Jack's! He is a personal friend, and a fine fellow (hope you get to read this Jack...hint, hint!!), but only a few of his earlier vriesea hybrids are yet available - I do own V. Milky Way, Kakadu and Montezuma's Gem....so far. Gonzer - those earlier hybrids have recently sold for very high prices on Australian eBay, so I don't know if or when they will be available outside Oz - nor how prices will compare to Shiigi's. Lemon Sorbet's parents are V. The Daintree and Milky Way. See below. Vriesea 'The Daintree' (V. gigantea x fosteriana) - an earlier hybrid of Jack's, and a great parent. Vriesea 'Milky Way' (V. gigantea - white centre x fosteriana 'White Bands') - another of Jack's hybrids. A larger photo of Vriesea 'Wombat', bred by Jack Koning - grown, named and photographed by Richard Harper. Here is a photo of Jack in his garden. I think it's nice to put a face to a name :) And finally, another section of Jack's garden, with evidence of more possible hybrids in the future. Winterlager, these foliage vrieseas are pretty tough. To achieve maximum desirable colours and form, they need to be grown in bright diffused light, or morning sun until about 11am. They tend to be more cold-tolerant than other bromeliads. We suffered a very cold winter last year, and although Jack's garden did not get any frost (he lives on the coast), all his vrieseas survived very well - perhaps the cold induced early flowering in some, but for a hybridist this can be a plus. I photographed many of his hybrids this summer, and as you can see, they are very healthy. In my own garden, which was badly toasted by frost last winter, the foliage vrieseas were the best survivors overall in my bromeliad collection. Some were damaged, but have all come back well since. Thanks :) The specimen of Uluru Sunset I photographed was much more compact and colourful - plus the dark background helps to enhance the beauty of foliage vrieseas - IMHO. Cheers, Kerry

Bob you should check it out. The plants in the conservatories are just gorgeous and the butterflies and hummingbirds flying around are really something. The outside gardens are beautiful as well and you can get some cool plants. It's really close to you. I'm surprised that you've never been. I'll be going again. I never get tired of it. I have no idea if we'll be flying or driving. Even with cheap fares it's expensive to fly 5 people anywhere but with the price of gas........ Karyn

PJ, Thanks for the Australian tour and I would consider moving there if I were a little younger:) I agree winter protection makes a BIG difference in palm survival, especailly for the smaller less established palms. Sorry to hear you lost some. Frost cloth is not enough during a bad winter. Its good for temps dipping below freezing and frost, but not icy winds in the teens and 20s. Some of your palms looked like they'd be ez to cover with winter protetction. Keep us updated.

Hi I have finally taken a photo, sorry it's dark (end of the day). I copy/paste my former comment. I had to delete it because I couldn't add the photo : Camellia, my variegated Blue Bird is not growing anymore, it seems dormant and looks exactly the same. We had an exceptionnal heat wave for 2 weeks with temps over +35°c and some plants didn't like it (the less rooted ones, the smallest ones and/or the more variegated ones). As Legolas and variegated Gollum keep growing (very slowly), I conclude that my variegated Blue Bird is not rooted enough to face the heat. It should grow again with the first rains of september or october.

Yes I do click on share and it does show the right little photo at the top in that part, but latter it is still posting the old link. Before you click on 'share' are you meant to click the tick on the photo you want ? I have tried it eigther way and it doesn't help to put it right. These photos have been listed on Photo bucket for a little while now, they are not freshly loaded, maybe I did something wrong previously that made all my photos have the same code even though they are different photos. I will try them on a Australan forum and see what happens, Thanks for all your help , Jim, I really appreciate it.

sold to Lynette as Mme Berard, but she believe it is E. Veyrat Hermanos.

Now it will only show Bloosom time, I have left them all here instead of deleting so you can see my problem.

What I do... Is I click on share above the photo, then when that window opens up, I go down to where it says:
"Having trouble? Try using this code to post on another website:"

The link directly under that I copy and paste and place into my forum thread.

I go to each different pic and repeat.

That works for me.

I will have to think on your problem.

Jim, I deleted some photos on Photo Bucket, then reloaded the four photos I wanted to post on this thread, the only difference it did was to change the photo it keeps copying which I thing I reloaded first.
How do you use photo browse button here ? Can you only use it when doing a new topic ?

Oh, my goodness, what a beautiful enchanting photo of your beautiful girl. As the Brits would say, we are "over-the-moon" with her. What a little angel!

Rosemeadow, I have never had to put any! checkmark on any boxes... There's actually an even easier way.

All you have to do is this!

1. go to your photo album. Mouse over the photo you want. A hand symbol should appear and a yellow box with the words, HTML code.

2. copy the code in your HTML code and paste into your message.

3. go to the next photo you want. Mouse over that photo. Select the HTML code on that yellow box, copy and paste that into your next photo.

This saves you from having to go from screen to screen and allows you to select your photos faster.

Here is a screen shot of the yellow box. Notice how the other photos don't have this box showing up. The reason why is because the mouse is only hovering above that specific image.

The check in the box is only a one time thing...LOL...
Not something you do everytime...LOL

it's not just the checkbox, Jim but also the fact that mousing over allows you to make sure that your photos are coordinating with your links. Sometimes, and what I suspect is that whenever Rosemeadow deletes and reuploads her images, she loses the original link. When she does that, her Photobucket albums may not be refreshing on her screen. That is why Photobucket needs to have its current state/current page always loaded up and visible.

This is why I usually prefer this method especially when I'm in the midst of deleting and re-arranging files.

Got me, i don't have any problems like that going on.
This computer is new and very fast...LOL

Your method is the same as mine, except your getting the link at a different place, which I never knew existed...LOL

Run your mouse over the pic and click on link options, bet you a screen comes up with a box checked. HTML box

Actually no, Jim there is no check box and no link options which is what makes it easier to use. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean. Just mouse over your photo and highlight that section to the right of HTML code, and copy. That's all that is needed. Then you're ready to paste.
