Beautiful roses and pictures. I got Country Music last fall but it hasn't bloomed much for me.

How is the fragrance on Grace Note? I am trying to choose between it and Spanish Rhapsody for a stippled rose.

predfern - I don't remember either way regarding the fragrance on Grace Note. I've only seen a few blooms. It was a little plant that the baby bunnies almost chewed to death this spring :( Spanish Rhapsody is one I don't have but the colors look gorgeous. Maybe you could get both?? And have you seen Dorcas?

I think I got myself in BIG trouble posting that Dakota's Song pic. The rose is (unfortunately) only available locally. The only nursery that carries it doesn't ship anymore. It's one of my favorite roses with that beautiful color, moderate fragrance, constant bloom, etc.. This spring I bought a couple and shipped them to a friend in North Carolina that really wanted it.

Wow! All of those are striking! But Dakota's Song is the best color and shape to me! Too bad to hear it is only available where you are. But, maybe it would not do well here w/ all the heat and humidity. I can dream... Thanks for sharing! Brandy

I love Dakota's Song, too. I would think that it would be a Buck rose if it had Buck parentage, but this is something I know nothing about.

Country Music is a beauty too - they all are. I wonder if Country Music would have that hint of color in a more southern garden.

Do you mind saying where you purchase your roses? Some of these are names I am not familiar with.

Sammy - Dakota's Song was, according to HMF, bred by Robert L. Smith. Country Music is a very soft pink with darker pink stippling and the petals have a darker pink reverse. I'm sure the color would be beautiful in the south too!

With the exception of Quietness, I've purchased all my Buck roses locally. Most came from Sam Kedem nursery. They no longer ship roses, but they are close enough for me to stop by a few times each year. Chamblees has a large selection of Buck roses. I've never ordered from them but they are highly recommended by others on the forum.

I will remember Sam Kedem for next year, and check with Chamblees to see what they offer. I purchase about 2/3 of my roses from Chamblees, and the rest from ARE. I don't think ARE handles Buck.
