My pictures are too large to post!

I am very frustrated! Every time I have tried to post a picture (from Adobe) I get a message saying that it is larger than 61 kilobytes but when I check on Adobe it says 56.something kb...which is smaller than 61. What do you have to do to post pictures? There are so many beautiful ones on this site but I can't figure it out!!

It's easiest to get a free account on something like Photobucket, post the pictures there, and then copy the URL from below the photobucket picture and paste it into your posting. That ways you can post multiple pictures per thread.

I just got on the Photobucket site. Thank you for the suggestion. Is there a way of seeing the pictures without the slide show? I would like to show pictures as stills but haven't figured out how to do that yet. I saw a slide show on another thread, but it quivers a little and makes things harder to see.

Thanks, Eahamel! I've looked at this thread several times already, love everyone's pics!! It's cloudy today and they sure are cheery. Here's one I like to touch even more than to look at, it's fuzzy and kind of smells good when gently molested. A cutting I appropriated from a giant planter in Sept. Starting to make a flower stalk.

Fantastic, Iowagirl! I am so impressed that you and Maire have come up with these links. The Gilberts were in the US before 1890 (date of advertisement I think), but apparently they had a mill, so they could be part of the John A. Gilbert family in England. This is so helpful, and I look forward to sharing it with my friends. I think I'll post the pictures and the flyer over on Antiques Forum to see if I can pick up any further info. Thank you! @redifar since you already choose the two of them, the first one will do just fine and like @houssaonmentioned above, a nice round table would look awesome. Make sure to observe "scale" - not too big, not too small but just right. Good luck. Nice project.

utog..thanks!..the yellow ones growing by the ajuga are August Moons..in the fall years ago they were $1 at Menards..I bought all of them..18!..I remember the number because I thought I got all of these for less than $20..ajuga is a volunteer..my neighbor has it..it's not even close to mine!..how in the heck did it seed from 30? 40? feet away..l know debra's was crowding her hosta and she removed it..I'm watching it.. I cleaned the street by the curb today..before I could do something more fun the rain started..forgot to post this the last time..my Wheee! looks funny.. look what nasty surprise I found when I went out today 🙁..darn squirrels.. Elegans seedlings.. musa basjoo is up..they never get big but I love them anyway..

Once you have your photo uploaded, left click the HTML tag, then right click to copy. Post a message and left click again to post the picture. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Carla. That sounds easy enough. When I have the time to take some decent pictures I will post them.
