Hi Mary and Thank you for the compliment! I purchased the atrium at a little store in Columbia SC and I just love it. I usually keep African Violets in it they seem to be very happy in there. Last year Sams wholesale in Charleston sold one that was almost like that one, maybe they will get them back around Christmas time check with them from time to time and hopefully you can find one. The foliage that comes up will soon learn it is not the right time and stop coming up. If the bulb has indeed caused a flower to erupt, then yes, you may lose that flower of the bulb for this coming spring. Hopefully, (well, not so much hopefully) you....and I ...will get some degree of winter this year...(let's make it next November/December)...but, if we should get some cool temperatures....cold actually, then wait until the ground has taken on a krinkly state...if frost re-visits, then put a mulch around your bulbs and put a cover of evergreen boughs over that to help keep the soil temperature down where the bulbs wont be so tempted to come up. See, that is what should have been done last fall when the first hard frost came by. The soil temperature would have stayed colder, longer and prevented the bulb..somewhat...to emerge. The compost over top just made the soil temperature that much harder to maintain a coldness. The compost should have been mixed in with the present soil and AFTER the hard frost, the mulch then applied...not ever before the frost.

LOL, they are more expensive online than in the store for certain. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in the stores though and it was so fun to read up on everything in the online catalog! :) Next thing I knew I had a cart full of stuff and had pressed the order button LOL. I just planted my corn this past Sunday. It wasn't supposed to go in until August, but I think it will be okay a few days early!

I ALWAYS begin to cry when I hear the song "Ooh Child". I was driving home from visiting a very close family member in the hospital one day when I was a senior in high school and it was pouring outside. As I was driving my windshield wipers stopped working and the rain was so bad I had to pull over and sit. At that moment I was so upset because I knew that soon that family member would die and I was also upset because here I was stuck in a rainstorm. All of a sudden whatever song that was on the radio cut out and "Oooh Child" came on. I felt like it was her speaking to me because she was in a coma at the time and died a few days later. Years later I had my son and had just left his father and was in the car driving and I was sobbing over my life. I was talking to that family member in my mind and again that song came on. Now whenever I hear it I become teary eyed and think of that special family member.
