this Arctic Blast . . .

We have fallen into the depths of winter . . . and, no doubt, it will get colder. Hopefully, there will be a blanket of snow on the ground soon to protect it from, what the weather folks like to call, this Arctic Blast and any that may follow it!

Yesterday, the wind was gusting above 30mph. Thank Heavens it has dropped to 17mph, sustained (I guess). The current temperature is 8ð. And, below zero is predicted by some for tonight.

I thought that I'd be able to say that Montana's "Garden City" Missoula was a little warmer (thought I remembered that from the forecasters) but, no. It's just below zero in that corner of the world right now and their "high" will be our "low," if'n the predictors get their way.

Snow in northwestern Colorado made the national news yesterday but there's no more than a trace in the official reports. What were they doing, making that story up?

Colorado, you have a national reputation to live up to . . .
