Plant Achillea now or wait until spring?

I've ordered the 'Terra Cotta' and the 'Walter Funke' Achillea from Bluestone and just found out they aren't planning to ship until spring unless I request it to be shipped now. We have only had a couple light frosts and now our nighttime temps are back up in low 40's. If I cover it when frost is predicted, will it survive, or should I not chance it. I prefer to plant perennials in the fall to give the root system time to get established, and hopefully have blooms this coming summer.

What do you think?
