Ok I will not add any of my daylily crosses. I do want you who are opposed to know that daylilies can only be split by rhizome if you want the same plant. As you may or may not know daylilies need to be pollinated in order to produce viable seed. Every seed will produce a new unique plant that is geneticly different from any other daylily plant known. Each plant may or may not look significantly different, or behave any differeny then the daylily hybrids already available, it will be a unique plant unknown to the world until the seeds are planted and allowed to grow. I only hybredize with the best of the best. The seedling and registered daylilies used to make these crosses are only the best...The seedlings will be bridge plants or future intros. Just thought I would let everyone know as some are under the impression that if you have seed from a stella it is a stella and it could turn out tall and red instead of short and yellow. I would be more than happy to show some of the pictures of my seedlings to anyone interested. Most of mine are going to be spiders and unusual forms.

OK I have red oleander but would NOT have sent that. Did not figure it was in the "rare" category as my S-I-L has "lots"
I'll take day lillies too. I bought an assortment oF Daylilly Tetra seeds from Parks about 20 years ago and got terrific results. Unnamed but beautiful.

I've been sitting here for 4 hrs.
trying to swap these around.
What some think is rare,
I don't consider rare.
I don't want anyone disapointed.
What a mess I've gotten myself into.
For those of you that sent rare seeds.
It looks like I'm going to have to go through
your want lists and hope I have something
your looking for in my stash.
If I'd have known only 6 people would send in.
I would have limited the number of packs of the
same seeds,to only 1 of each kind.
I also asked for only 20 pks.total.
I got more than 20 from a few of you.
I also asked for a list of what you sent,
4 of you didn't send one.
Clay_lady,BethB,and Val are the only
ones who put their names on the packets.
What am I to do?
Someone tell me it's going to be okay.

I love doing swaps but every time I do I wonder what kind of mess I've gotten into.
I totally agree though that what is rare to someone is common to another. Like I said, I would not have sent oleander except that someone specificly asked for it.
Good luck and don't worry. I can't remember who all is in this but there should not be too many complainers if there were only 6 all together. LOL

I've posted I'm extending this swap and all the others I have going on,until the 25th.I thought more would send in.Poor Abitodd's package went missing,her & I are hoping it arrives soon.It didn't show today either.Darnit! No Abitodd's package never did show up.I don't know what to do;I feel really bad and was hoping it would show up by now.Then someone e-mailed they'd be sending seeds in too.I haven't seen them yet either.I've e-mail everyone who I haven't received packages from today.

I know I had a mail problem;my bank statement was sent to me on the 9th.I didn't receive it until the 17th and it's only 18 miles from here.The black line mark thingy's bar code what ever;it was wrong because someone had marked most of it out with a black marker no telling where it went for a week.Usually I get it the day after they mail it.
There are six of us in this,If no one minds I'd like to wait until I get an answer from the other two and I'll double check with abitodd to see if she maybe made a mistake.Doubt it,just hoping for a misplaced package or something like that.I wonder what goodies she sent;are they sitting in Antarctica somewhere,maybe timbucktoo????? Not funny for her,but trying to get a laugh from everyone else.Hope I get some news today.i really have it done,I just needed to make a few adjustments if abitodds package made it.

Jody there are always some who sign up for a swap and then don't do it. On a big swap it does not matter but on a small one, you know the difference.
It is true on every type of swap that we do here. Round Robins get lost, some partners mail and packages get lost and some just never follow through at all. Sometimes it is the sender that messes up and sometimes it is the PO but mess ups are a fact of life.
If the missing people don't reply to your messages, they are probably just not participating. I do hope you get the package from Deni in tomorrow's mail. Then you can just finish the swap. I've got my fingers crossed, BB

Spring is sprung here in CA so I'd rather not wait much longer than a week for my seeds to be exchanged, if it is at all possible to trade them out now with what you have. I don't mind missing out on the chance to get stuff from the missing players packages. I wanna plant my seeds soon, so I can have blooms, or tradeable plants, by the time I move (Nov. 2006) Thanks for your understanding.

I'm just packing these tomorrow.If anyone's late they'll just have to swap with me.I'm getting demands,people want to start their seeds,I don't blame them.So that's the deal unless it's sunny and 54* again like today.then it will have to wait until Sunday.heehee Still can get them all out by Monday.What a Relief that will be.I'm going to finish them all my swaps and send them out by Monday.Lets say I'll try real hard.The only major problem I have is it's just beautiful,the suns shinning,it's 54*
I'm going out and planting a rose as soon as I figure out where I want it.duh(*%&^%(&)(-(;[]= I have lots of room,I just want to do a little planing ahead of time.I don't want to have to do any Rearranging later down the road,That's to much work.

To all of you who joined my swaps. IÂm very sorry that IÂve been ill and havenÂt felt well enough to finish these up. IÂm sure you were all anxious to get your seeds back to get them planted and growing or trade what you didnÂt want from the swap seeds.
I know most of you included a list of what you sent in for the swap, a few of you didnÂt. Most marked the seeds packets they sent in, others didnÂt which has made it impossible to tell how many seeds to send back to you. I have e-mailed those two people and asked if they remember how many seeds packets they sent in. One will not answer me; the other person isnÂt sure. I have e-mailed one many times trying to get an answer. I hope they arenÂt angry with me for being ill. At the time I started these swaps I was feeling pretty good and thought, I could handle them, unfortunately that hasnÂt been the case.
Another problem was since some of these swaps only had two-five people in them and some sent 15 packs while others sent 40 packs; some no repeats, some more than 4 of each, it was hard to do fair trading. Lesson learned from these swaps is if you donÂt have at least 15 people in a swap someoneÂs going to be disappointed.
IÂve been sick about the whole thing. IÂm very sorry if some of you are unhappy with the seeds you received. I wish IÂd never have sent out any of the swaps and put all the seeds back into the envelopes and paid the postage to send them right back to everyone.
Anyway; I hope no one gets angry about the seeds they get in the tree, vine or rare seed swap. I didnÂt have a lot to work with. I wouldnÂt blame any of you if you never joined another swap of mine.
If anyone feels they have been shorted (PLEASE) contact me or post on the RR swap threads for all to see, instead of holding a grudge or talking behind my back.
IÂm swapping the tree seeds tonight and getting them the heck out of here ....IÂm putting the last of the rare seed swap in the mail tomorrow too.
I finished the vine swap a few weeks ago. Only a few participants e-mail they were happy and or they received the seeds. I hope this letter finds you all in good health and may all the seeds you plant grow well for you. A few people have e-mailed and asked why they havenÂt received their seeds back yet. I explained that IÂd been very ill, I guess to some seeds are more important that a persons health. Some guess people have never been sick with anything but the flu, someday you might understand what IÂm going through mentally and physically. I want to send a special thanks to my good friends who e-mail me to see how IÂm doing; bless you for understanding. My health is not in my hands itÂs something IÂm unable to change right now.
