Wow Ronda, I love it. It looks like its cascading over itself. Does it bloom all summer real good like the knockout? It doesn't look like it has any kind of support, does it? I love the look of rose bushes cascading over. Thanks, Judy

It just cascades over itself. It appears 2 canes have become wedged in the slats of the fence but they are in no way supporting this big ol' rose.

Pinkie has a couple good flushes a year but its not in bloom as much as the KO. The nice thing is that the foliage on Pinkie is so dainty that even when not in bloom it the bush has a pretty weeping look.

Scenes like yours are why we take the trouble to grow roses. Beautiful. Is the red next to it KO? And what is the pink rose in the first picture far right? Even the addition of the Junipers adds to the overall effect. Really nice job.

I still have 5-6 roses in this picture who are not yet blooming!! After a long wet winter it sure does my heart good to walk outside and see all the colors!

Standing next to the Knock Out I would say its almost 6 feet tall. The fence is 8-9 feet and the roses are planted away from the fence which is also in the downhill direction. I have yet to prune my KOs...I dont mind how huge they get. :o)

If possible it's even more beguiling then your first ones. Yes, I like Lillian Austin. I've had a thing for medium true pinks for a few years now, and your picture of her caught my eye. BUT wait!!!! Who is Old Gay Hill? Is that the roses name? Is it a mini?

I saw Climbing Pinkie once trained as a climber and at the end of her blooming cycle so I didn't realize how graceful and intensely pink she can be. I love the the weeping form of your climbing pinkie. She is beautiful!

Ronda, things are hopping at your place. I like Cl. Pinkie, cute name too. Girl, you have plenty of space for a couple more. Or a dozen? I love the scene pictures too. Harder for me to photo for some reason.

My KOs are the original single ones. They are bloom machines and I never fertilize, spray or water them. They are amazing and I consider them to be the anchors of my hill.

Old Gay Hill is a china I bought because the vendor said it was not given the recognition it deserved. I figured....well let me try it. It blooms all summer and one thing I love is that the foliage has a blue cast to it. Its not green like most rose foliage.

This is a picture my son took. Although it is hard to see, you might be able to appreciate that the foliage is not plain green. It sets the color of the rose off so nicely and it blooms on and on.

I appreciate you furthering my rose education. Can you tell me now how big Old Gay Hill gets by the end of your season. In the picture it almost looks like a ground cover or short mini. Does it stay short perhaps?..Maryl

This rose has stayed small for me. I get no die back from the winters here and I have never pruned this rose and it is under 3 feet.

Countryside lists it as 3'
ARE says 4-6'

I would be suprised if this rose goes over 4'. Too easy not to grow!!
