Dehydrator Question

djcorrosive

As the end of the growing season nears, I have begun dehydrating some of the extra pods that I can't use fresh. Wouldn't you know the thing dies on me after its 3rd batch with many many more to go. A family member has one I can borrow, but will it permanantly foul it up and make things spicy? Or does a good cleaning get rid of the residual capsaicin? My old dehydrator was never used for anything but chiles, so I haven't a clue. I don't want to ruin their machine.
