Wow, lcadem, that's quite a compliment! Thank you. The photos in this thread were all taken with a tripod-mounted Sony A7 with a Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 lens. Aperture set to around f/3.5, if I remember correctly. All shot with manual focus, which is easy on the A7. Many of the photos on my website were taken with other cameras and lenses, but the key is a sturdy tripod, a good lens, and tack-sharp focus. Thanks again for your comment - you made my day!

Cindy- I do havefish in my pond or I used to. For two years they did fine including overwintering. But this spring there were no fish, they all died over the winter. It was much colder here than normal and lots of snow that stayed on the ground for weeks. Very unusual for us. So the pond was a gunky and stinky mess come spring. But its all fine now, the water is crystal clear after my cleaning. Mostly I pumped out most of the water, scooped out the gunk on the bottom and refilled. Then set up and ran the pump and filter which cleared up the rest. I put some small feeder goldfish (ten) in there and 30 Rosey Red Minnows. I used to have Rosey Red Minnows in there and as a matter of fact they bred last spring so I had baby fish swimming around. We do have lots and lots of racoons here. In fact they come around every night.

Thanks for posting, Don they are all looking really good. I bought Lakeside Kaleidoscope a couple of days ago and I like that it looks nice even when it is young. I have Creeping Jenny/Moneywort, too but I haven't actually allowed it to encircle a hosta - would it choke it out? I find it easy to control just by ripping up what you don't want. It might look nice to have it under a larger hosta, something with gold edging or gold center? I like what you have done puttiing it with Halcyon and First Frost.

I did heat it,I don't believe it ever dropped below 14F-that was not my plan originally(keeping it that warm)but I planted the Agaves and some other cactus in Dec,so, I decided to keep it a little warmer to protect them.I had to remove the front half over the cactus in mid March as we had some early 70F weather and the temp went up to 100F in there! to much stress on them,it also may explain why the cactus are budding so early,although quite a few normally flower in June.
