Depends on which one you are talking about. Some are "shy" bloomers and some seem to never bloom. Make sure you give yours lots of bright light - that seems to help the most with some of the more reluctant bloomers. Two reluctant bloomers are Sophie Cecile and Cracklin' Rosie for example.

too much edge for abby ... and the leaves arent heart shaped enough ... imo ... but yours might look different with another year or two of growth ... abby is much smaller leafed .. so if yours get bigger.. that would rule out abby ken

@puglvr1 They only bloom from the part that makes the "Y." I dont' honestly remember much about growing them in 9b. It seems they went semi-dormant and lost leaves, but didn't freeze back. They grow quickly, so if they die back, they will come back up and make "Ys" again next year. They usually bloom the first year. These were small cuttings when I planted them, and all of them are going to bloom eventually. @ut2nc You can buy the cuttings on eBay, or go to the Brugmansia exchange forum, and there is always someone giving cuttings away in the fall. You have to keep them safe from freezing over the winter, but they root very quickly. When I had them in SC, I would put the the trimmed limbs into a bucket on the back porch in the winter, and they would be rooted and ready to plant by spring.
