Comments (5)Hi Craigo198, They are wilting as they may be undergoing intial shock, keep them in the shade for a week or two and they will bounce back. I have transplanted 1 and 2 year old trees from one container to a bigger container, by bare-rooting them, washing off all the soil and planting them in new soil, and they have always bounced back. These trees are very hardy, I had a something pull out one of my small moringa tree and I found it after a couple of days on the lawn, it was almost dry, but I planted it and it bounced back. So as long as the tap root is there, it will come back. Do not overwater.. xman...See Moremoro orange wilting badly after transplant
Comments (5)Thank you all so much for the quick replies! The tree perked up in the night and looks better now, but I'm sure the heat of the day may leave it wilted. Unfortunately, I can't budge it... I don't have any patio umbrellas, but I do have insect screen... I will try to rig something to protect it before I leave today. Then maybe my husband an I can scoot it to the shader side of the patio this evening. Thanks! Comments (4)Peat moss generally isn't good in potting mixes. If the soil is staying soggy/muddy then the plant will be doomed. You've no option other than to get it into a fast draining mix. It's better to water more frequently in a fast draining soil than to water less in a water retentive soil....See Moredavid52 Zone 6
