Great photos, Leslie. Glad to see someone else has a good Angel Face. I keep hearing how they died or did badly.

Leslie, Your roses are fantastic.Thats a beautiful Angel Face.Wish I could get one to grow like that.Guess I will have to get a new one and plant it in a big pot as they seem to thrive better for me in pots,with exception of a few.Don't you just love Gemini? Mine is full of buds,too.I have been plagued with worms and caterpillars eating up the buds and leaves on mine.I sprayed again this evening for worms and Black spot..Your Fragrant Plum is beautiful, too.The worms ate all the b uds on mine,so have to wait awhile before I see a bloom on that one. Hope you post some more photos soon.I am injoying them all.

Leslie, you give me the idea to plant another angelface. I had one when I lived at the beach and it just suffered from too little sunshine. The color and smell are to die for. Love Gemini but have not gotten it yet.

Thanks Kathy, I'm sorry that's Chicago Peace, rose and bush. I had two I was working on and only posted this bud blooming I liked it so well. I'm looking forward to seeing how much nicer Condoleezza gets, I may have to move her though to a sunnier place, or else it's just that she's so new. Yes, I love Gemini, all faces it shows, light and dark. Even browning up in the summer doesn't take my enjoyment away, I learned to cut the buds early and bring them inside in the am.

Jean, you're always so complementary, thank you. I have Angel Face in full sun and it loves it there. Yes, I think you'd need a very large pot for it to show it's best 'face'. I'd think this rose would do well for you. I think this one by the end of Nov was 50"tallx56"wide and it was a year old then. I'm expecting that or more this year. I think I had worms on AF, Gemini and the most on Fragrant Plum too. I don't know what it is about that rose but every day I'd find at least two on it, sometimes twice a day. It is very frustrating, I pick them off and give them to the toads, that is satisfying, LOL* This is a very soft color for Fragrant Plum, usually it's darker and with the heat this one burns easily. I put it in a better place this year but one day after it bloomed with the 92o heat the petals were burned. My mini that can be the same color when it's mauve doesn't do that.

Thanks Beth, Sequoia Ballet gets better with every rose, colors changing slightly too. I'm waiting for the pink petals edged in dark pink it'll be:) I have a toad sitting under it now helping keep it clean. I've seen it mature and this is going to be really pretty by Sept if I can go after Sequoia's rose at that age I saw.

Thank you April, that's nice and it's a by product if I can enable, otherwise I'm sharing my joy in the roses:) If you have it hot without much or any humidity my roses would do well where you are.

Thanks to you too Judy, if you'd like Sequoia Ballet you better hurry, Sequoia Nursery is closing end of this month. They are the only ones I know carry this, it was a new rose last year by Mr. Moore. I don't know how fast Texas A&M will be selling their roses.

Carla thank you I'm working on taking better pics:) I have been busy washing off aphids and taking pics since it heated up most of the roses finished sitting there and are blooming. Again that one rose is one of the really pretty pink ones Chicago Peace is putting out. I imagine that one has sherbet colored orange in the center of it too though. It has been hot long enough for stripes yes.

Denise, I would think it's plenty hot enough where you are for Angel Face to grow well, unless you also have humidity. Too bad, she's a favorite, I love the color of her foliage also.

Thanks Mary, I agree I'm really enjoying this period now. Angel Face in a full sun spot should do really well. When I heard all the problems with her that's the only place I figured to put her and I was happy to be correct on the placement. No PM at all, ever. It can happen here, I have a Dr. Huey just covered in it. I'm digging that one up this year, that's two years same time periods with it. Gemini is delightful until it hits high 90's and 100's if you have that, then it browns in a day. It makes up for it and shines all the other months though.

Thank you Kate and I'm glad you do have one, you need the room for all the others you now have!! That's why I don't do duplicates, only on Iceberg because one was free. Too little room, so many roses:)

i'm new to the forum. leslie your angel face is so beautiful. i have the angel face climber which is very stingy with its blooms, so I pruned it harshly today.
Hope it will give me some blooms soon, fingers crossed.

Hello Karima, welcome to you:) Thanks for the complement, is your Angel Face in a really sunny spot? I know that my Sis lived near the WA border and she had a really tough time growing roses in a lot of places on her property. It was both because of the woods around and shaded and also because of the weather. I hope you jump started yours though for this year, normally you don't prune climbers hard unless you're cutting off dead growth.
I would think an Angel Face climber would be beautiful to see:)

What a nice complement:) This is usually a cool temp color for it, Gemini has several colors depending what temperature it is.
