Good question. They were all transparent and it seemed the larger were completely clear and the smallest were a transparent brown. The color brown faded with size. Also, I noted that they were almost* sorted by size... the largest on one side fading to small. I have to admit, the scientist in me wanted put them in a old aquarium to see what would happen but the human in me was too scared!

Thank you both. No worries about 1st - I know it is way too small to ID and I will wait until it gets much bigger. Posted it only because of cute hart-shaped leaf :) - and I do not know wher it came from...maybe some seeds? Definitely not from a leaf of any kind. I was thinking 2nd may ne one of the epies, but never had one and am not familiar with them. It has been grown from very little cutting, and didn't grow at all for quite some time.

How long ago did you star seeing these spots? They look PERFECTLY round...which is rare in nature. Water drops/spots can do this...but only if a polish is sitting on the wood. Did you inherit the bamboo? Or were you the one to install the floors? An easy way to check to see if you have polish on those floors is to use Windex Original formula (5% ammonia) on a small area of your floor. I like to pick the spot behind a door that normally remains open. Go ahead and spray a small section (like 1sf) and allow the windex to sit for 30-60 seconds (no more and no less). You will then wipe it up with a CLEAN WHITE COTTON cloth. If your cloth comes away a snick yellow, then you have a polish on that floor that needs to be removed. You spritz the floor area again and then wipe up the windex immediately. You will do this until the cloth comes up 'clean' (it will look just a little damp...maybe a snick blue because of the windex colour). Once the cloth comes up clean, you know you have arrived at the original finish. Once you have tested the Windex in an out-of-the-way area, you can go ahead and try the windex over those spots. It is possible the spots will be removed by the Windex...but ALWAYS test your cleaner somewhere else before you use it in public areas. The question I have is: do you have 'drooly' pets?

You could paint it the same color as the walls, or paint it the dark color of the darkest brick. The movement of the floors and pattern in the rug means the brick needs to be a solid color. And also declutter.
