floridarose : its just one plant. Initially i thought of planting a second one on the other side of the arbor but i thought it may be too much for the arbor to take. It roots very easily. i actually got a cutting from a nearby day lily farm. I had gone to see their dayliies and saw this rose on the owners fence and started talking to him about it. He was so generous that he gave me a big cutting to try out. I made quite a few,can't recollect how many but 3 made it. The owner told me a different name but said its beeing called Peggy Martin now.

"Found" roses must listed in an official ARS publication showing an Approved Exhibition Name (AEN) to be exhibited in classes where ARS ribbons and certificates are awarded. "Peggy Martin" has not been registered, and does not have an AEN. It cannot be shown except in a special class for "found" roses, if one is included in the show schedule. Perhaps you can encourage the person writing the show schedule to include a "found" roses class.

As you learned in the other forum, Peggy Martin is a "found" rose. No one knows its original name, if there is one. It can only be shown in a special class for "found" roses unless and until someone can identify it or prove it is a sport that has never had a recognized name.

That means a lot to me, because like so many of you, I also started gardening recently,5 years ago. Until then, I had never heard of mulch, Mushroom Compost, RoseTone and not even about irrigation system. People here on this forum share what they know and that in itself is wonderful. Anyway, I log into this forum quite often to learn and it’s been awesome and helpful through this quarantine period. The only thing I don't like about having roses is how addictive it is, we always want to have more and how expensive it is to maintain the plants @summersrhythm_z6a I don't paint the banister where the flowers are stuck. We usually paint the deck floor every summer and we don't paint perfectly either. We never painted the iron fence.
