About the Muscari and the daffs - if you planted the bulbs at the same time - you were probably too late for the Muscari. They start into action in late summer with leaves and roots while the daffs are just stretching and putting out a few roots. Let them bake over the summer and see if you get better results next year. And rescue the daffs if you planted them together. Muscari multiply like compound interest and can quickly swamp a container. (That might not be true in other zones but it surely is so in mine.)

Lovely--roses around a birdbath. Nur Mahal is so vivid and yet such a wonderful team player. You have so many unusual and delightful cultivars! I hauled my mom's birdbath from Dallas to PDX after she moved into long-term care. It's still sitting in my driveway, as per my usual procrastination, but as soon as the lake clears up in my back garden, I plan to lug the concrete bath to a bed space. All that's blooming for me at the moment is Lady Banks. Thanks for the flowers! Carol

Lovely! I'm so disappointed in mine. I got a new one this spring and it hasn't given me a single bloom. I'm going to trash it and get a new one next year I think. It was a good sized bare root when I got it and it really should have bloomed! Can't figure out what's wrong with it?
