There are probably a bunch of things it could be. My guess is red or yellow mushroom.

100+ days. Capsicum chinense. Plant produces good yields of 1" long by 1 ý" wide wrinkled hot peppers. Peppers are very hot and turn from green to dark red when mature. Plant has green stems, green leaves, and white flowers. A variety from Jamaica. Plant Height: 18 - 24" tall. pk/10

Some seed companies call the squash or mushroom pepper by different names. It seems there is a lot of confusion from these seed companies regarding these Squash-mushroom type Jamaican peppers.

They look like Mushroom pods to me, too.
They'll probably be hot - as I recall, this variety is about as hot as Jamaican scotch bonnets.

Concur that it is a mush room type. Since yours have not ripen, a green to yellow version is also possible.

Another vote for mushroom. My "mushrooms" look like wrinkly habs but have thin skin and can be air dried. From my research the term mushroom covers a range of peppers that are hot, sweet, red, yellow, etc. (thanks seed companies), but what you have look like what I think is most commonly known as mushrooms.

Nice to hear more input regarding possible types. I will make an effort to post a picture of them when they ripen. They are an interesting pepper shape, one I am not used to seeing.
