All three do not look like Ghost, and growing them next to each other would not change the characteristics of the peppers unless you grow from the seeds the next season and they crossed those peppers would reflect that.

The yellow Hab not sure what that one is but someone may know and comment.

Sorry you did not get any Ghost, did you buy from eBay?

no i found ghost pepper starts at the local nursery and the habs at walmart...the red one was the second one off that plant,first one wasnt all too hot but i left the one in the picture on almost a week after it turned red which seemed to make it hotter if thats something it would even do is beyond me..the first pepper is small compared to what is on it

Are you sure that isn't a yellow Bhut? I have a Yellow Bhut Tree. I call it a tree because its about 6 feet tall and about 5 feet wide.. It produces the same type of yellow peppers as the ones in the picture...

Here is a pic of my Ghost this season to compare. The skin of any of those pictured is too smooth to be a Bhut.

Google Fatalii looks like that's the peppers you have pictured.

this is one of my "ghost peppers"

this is what the other 2 "ghost peppers" look like but theres many different shapes on this one some others are taking the shape of habs,guess it doesnt matter cus there still pretty hot. but ive never had a ghost pepper to be able to see if theres a difference in taste

and this last one is the "habenero" they both have these shaped peppers..like i said they taste and smell the same as a actual one...these are the only two types of peppers im having problems with...my thai chilis,golden cayenne, and jalapenos are doing fine and look how there suppose too...guess as long as i have hot peppers it doesnt matter lol

They do resemble Fataliil but the seeds I purchased were supposedly yellow Bhut Jolokias. The Fataliil are comparable to Habanero heat. These peppers are assuredly far hotter than habeneros. I usually grow habeneros in conjunction with these. This particular plant is 3 years old. I guess there are different strains and you are correct. Bhut Jolokias have a very bumpy skin. Tell you what :-) I'll send you a couple so you can try it if you like? or a trade? :-)

As for what to do with them over the winter...
Make a bonchi out of it.

Are there yellow bhuts that are as bumpy as the real deal red bhuts? It seems like every "yellow bhut" I've ever seen doesn't have the bumps. But, then again, the majority of the regular "ghost" pics you see don't have the bumps like they're supposed to. I was just curious if there really are bumpy yellow bhuts.

The yellow ones in the 10:46 and the green ones in the 12:42 pics look like devil's tongue. (Very similar in appearance to fatalii, and same heat range.)

I don't know.. I still have the package with the original seeds in it. says Yellow Bhut Jolokia. They are for certain Scorchers.. I can eat a Habanero.. I can't eat these LOL.
and as for making a bonchii out of it.. How much would I cut? by the time I bring it in the house it will be well over 6 feet tall..

I planted what i thought was Habs...i got the same Yellow peppers as in your pix. Are these Yellow Ghost?

after close examination of the pods along with the heat description i don't think your growing True Bhuts very early in the season my green pods have quite a bit of heat also i have had a unripe green pod fold me over along with a few other people i had test my pods i have grown thousands of plants and run many test on how much stress a plant can take depends on the stress and watering habits the Heat/time zone you are in... but being these peppers are already yellow and still not much heat is a BAD sign .

well the yellow ones are pretty hot but like i said they smell and taste identical to a hab and just as hot and the red ones have that slow burn that lasts 20 minutes or so..ive been trying to stress them havent been watering them hardly hopefully maybe that works..what other ways are there to stress the plants besides lack of watering? believe im in zone 6

sam2g70 i emailed you my addy and as soon as your come i can send you some a have a few of my "habs" thatll be ready in a few days same with my "ghost peppers" lol

if they are outdoor plants the only true way to stress them is cut back on there water until they wilt but that could backfire at times all my plants are grown from seed so i pretty much know what mine can and can not handle ....only the strong survive with me ....but if they have a good heat to you and taste good i would just keep on the same pattern. if you want something even hotter i am sure a few of us here can help out with some seeds for next years grow (smile)

That's Armageddon's subtle way of saying he has some stuff that is so hot it will melt your gums and cause your teeth to fall out! Seriously!

Hi everyone and thank you in advance for your help.

I am trying to grow my first ever ghost pepper plants. I have some young plants i nurtured inside over winter then moved outside into a makeshift greenhouse as summer approached. The plants seem healthy enough although i do get a few flower buds falling off. I do have some fruit appearing but they don't look as I would expect.
So far the are small and the skin is tight, not wrinkly and already turned red.
Other pictures i have seen look very different.
Have they matured too fast? Should I take them off now in the hope i can keep producing better fruit?

Im in wellington, New Zealand.

looks like you've got yourself some red habaneros there. someone sold or gave you some questionable seeds. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Plants are definitely ghosties. Very blistered and not smooth like the Habs I grow. Color has gone to a pale whitish green (Ghost Like?). Healthy plant about 4 feet tall lots of peppers but none red or orange. Cooler than usual summer here in Central Virginia. Nursery tag says orange - red in color. Any info or ideas on ripening?

If you're trying to answer the original question, there's no point. The plants have been dead for two years.
