I can't think of what to use but could make a platform with holes fitted down in on that "shelf", be a little tricky to get it to fit just right. I'd prefer something I could cut with my hot knife, worst case scenario a coping saw, but can't think of what. Plexiglass is not opaque and probably hard to cut. Masonite shower lining warps w/moisture and is hard to cut. I probably could make a pattern with cardboard. Whatever it is, I could get the hardware store to do it for me but with all those curves, they might charge a lot. But with the raised lid and having the platform set down it, it should give pretty good headroom. I couldn't use as much water as you; maybe it wouldn't matter so long as I'd keep the level up. Any ideas, some kind of rigid, opaque plastic readily available, preferably not online?

Those were done inside during the winter. I also use them outdoors under the eave of roof on the back porch out of the rain with shade cloth across the top of them for shade during the summer. I have a bunch of grafted Adeniums under them right now. I use a very fast draining mix I make up for my plants. 4 parts turface, 3 parts fine pine soil conditioner, 1 part Metro mix 702. randy

I'm sure it would work great. It seems like a waste of money though. You can easily build one cheaply from a rubbermaid tub, aquarium aerater, and net pots or styrofoam cups. You could even add a water pump attached to misters if you wanted to go all out, although that isn't necessary. Do an internet search for an "aeroponic cloner". I wouldn't shy away from sites that are primarily geared toward illegal crops. You can learn a lot from those guys, even if you plan on growing vegetables.

1) add keeping the soil DAMP not wet all winter long.... 2)Junipers.. best time to take cuttings December through March... take a hardwood or semihard wood cutting WITH A HEAL, apply 0.4% IBA (Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil ... keep soil damp not wet...takes 4-6 weeks to root.. bottom heat will help.
