pepper leave issues PICS

First of all, thank you so much to my fellow gardeners for any possible advice. I wouldn't have a garden without the help of this forum, and I am so thrilled to have the support!

Any idea what is doing this to our peppers? One is a thai hot, and the other a mini bell. Osmocote fert....I use neem and copper, but this appeared before those were used. And I do know not to apply those in the sun.

Not sure where the soil came from, as the pots were a gift and had soil in them. It looked too dense for my liking, so I reconstituted the soil by adding compost, vermiculite, and pearlite as necessary. Did the same with the dozen or so other pepper plants we have, and all are doing well except these 2.

I suspect over watering, or that heat wave maybe, or possibly the late afternoon/evening sun is too much for them? But the other peppers on the front porch area, which faces west, are doing fine.

One is blooming. But am curious as to what you all think...am I doing something wrong here? Will these grow out of this? A pest perhaps?
