deer ate leaves

I got up this morning and half of my Plumeria leaves were eaten. I saw the deer last night eating my roses and shooed it away never thinking that it would eat my Plumeria. She ate half of the 2 leaves that were getting big.and also ate the tips of some of the claws. I thought the white sap that comes out stings. Now what do I do, do I leave them out of the sun for awhile. I'm sure they are stressed, they haven't done much in the last 2 weeks. I think I fertilized too soon. Are they doomed before they even start. The poor things have gone through so much. Tried to get a picture on site but don't know how.

Thanks again for everyones help
