Recovering from spider mites

I bought a beautiful and healthy looking palm about a month ago. After about 2 weeks I noticed it had a spider mite infestation :( there were webs and many mites on the underside
Of the leaves as well as hanging from the webbing. I mixed a soap and water solution and sprayed the plant thoroughly with it. Then repeated again for a few days until all signs if the mites were gone. The plant continues to look less healthy every day since the spraying. I'm not sure if the damage from the mites is just showing now, or if the soap damaged the leaves? They are turning yellowish and even brown on the tips. I would like to be able to revive the plant. Is there anything I should be doing to promote it's return to looking healthy? I have been misting it with water due to low levels of humidity in the house because of winter heating, but it doesn't appear to be helping. Maybe I am being too impatient and it just need time to recover? Any advice or suggestions would be great, thanks!
