Comments (3)I hope that it does thrive. I am not in the city at all - I am closer to the Butler area, which is generally cooler. In addition, the spot I have is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than the rest of the yard (I can't figure out why.) It is in shade with only diffused/dappled sunlight and is moist, but not too boggy all the time and the soil is fairly acidic. This seems to be what is described on all of the sites, but to tell the truth, I can't find diffinitive information about its habitat. Any growing information would be helpful. Comments (4)Laurie, I think this scrolled off kitchens before I had a chance to reply, but if I'm repeating myself, I'm sorry. You know that "jupurana" is written on the red tape, right? I'm thus deducing that it's in the jupurana (juparana?) family. I can't tell from the pic if the streaks are black/gray or blue.
