Soil temp reaches 110F

I live in Phoenix Arizona where the air temp can reach 120+ in the summer. I am new to growing various hot chillies like the Bhut and some nice Habanero's.

Today the temp reached 95F outside and i noticed my potted plant's soil reached 110F 4 inches down into the soil. The pots are in the sun..

I am worried about when temps reach 120+ then my potted plant soil might reach way hotter then that.

I have searched for what maximum soil temps can be fore these plants. I cant find anything on this. So far they seem to be doing mostly ok. They are just 3" tall so far.

I was thinking about moving them to clay pots from the plastic ones they are in now to maybe help them temp wise.

Any suggestions ?
