lil pepper plants growing peppers?

ok so i planted some thai hot peppers habenaro peppers and bell peppers... the bell pepper and the thai pepper are small there both no more then 8" tall but seem to already be growing peppers??? is this normal? should i cut the newley sprout fruit off, let it grow, give neutrents to put it back into vege stage? kinda coonfused cause i thought these plants should be bigger before there sprout fruit... any help?

NO!!! Dont cut off the baby peppers!!!!! Id just let them do their thing! Thats great they are producing for you already!!!! My bell peppers always put out buds and baby peppers when they are small, I think its just what they do. I cant speak for the thai, but def. the peppers ar ejust doing their thing!

Apparently this is a popular commercial variety of roasting pepper, which makes me suspect a uniform fruit set late in the season. One of the hallmarks of a successful commercial variety is a tight, concentrated harvest window. I often get one early pepper from plants of this type, then a heavy fruit set in late summer. Hahahaha that's hilarious Willard, and so true. I would wager it's a red habanero, ebay sellers seem to pawn those off as anything, hoping nobody will know better. And those that do know better are powerless to do anything about it. It's most likely a hab, IMO, they grow "chambers" or "segments" like the one pictured, and ghosts do not.

Hi guys... Im a newbe but I have been growing for a while. I always read these blogs. Good stuff here. Here is what I wouldn't regrow next year: Big Jim- no taste and not that hot All bell Peppers Orange and RED Habaneros- Got a lot out of these but started getting into the hotter chilis. Thai Chilis (or those in this category) Cabe Merah- Indonesian red chili Barkers Mexican hot Big Sun- Plants looked great but only got 1 chili... 1 good seed. Purple and yellow Cayanne - orange is good though, may keep these. Sweet banana Aji Crystal: good but need the space for new stuff Black Hungarian Jalapenos: Colaro, Red, Santa Fe etc ( maybe regrow the purple) I like the taste. Tobango seasoning... not 1 pod Wild Brazil.. alot of pods but not too tasty. Small. And whatever else dies may not be replaced. If it's the start of your season and the plant is small like you say, you could pinch them. Letting them fruit can take away the plants energy to grow. It's personal preference. Pinch them get more early growth to make more buds eventually. Leave them and get earlier fruit but less.

Worst case scenario, fruit production will be affected somewhat, but you should still get a good bit of peppers either way. Really a personal prefernce & situation-based like chilli says.

The reason they are producing so early is because they have stressed by conditions, probably before they were planted, so they go into survival mode and make some seeds early. I always choose the plants without flower buds at the nursery, then they grow more normally, not sure of your situation.

As said you could pinch off the early peppers in the hope that plant will get bigger and more productive in summer. Or you could let them grow to eatable stage but pick them quickly, don't let them sit there and ripen, and your plant will still be fine if growing conditions are good.
