I have had that problem. I've signed in before and lost all of my clippings too. Then they're back on another day. I haven't noticed it being specific to this forum, but I do frequent this forum and maybe haven't noticed the coincidence.

Sue, those underlined words are exactly what I'm talking about. It is a 'legitimate' link and the advertisers are paying iVillage for the use of the site. We were warned it was going to happen - look at the What's New section right over the top of the message list - and even told how to opt out of the ads. (Click on the connection under What's New that says "Please read this important announcement about new advertising.") But it's not working and we are not able to decline the ads right now. Tamara says they are working on it. Although I find the underlined connections annoying, I REALLY hate that someone looking at one of my posts might think I condone or even promote a company because there's a link to them in my post! But all of these links are automatically inserted at key words and it's all done by a company called IntelliTXT. I want to be able to opt out of seeing them AND having them attached to my posts, but I don't think that's going to be possible. Kate

I don't really understand what has happened to Firefox. It's rather unusual of the open-source projects. It's become a stereotypical "committee project"! OpenOffice has always had the direction, the focus and the drive to get there and improve. K-meleon is stable, basic and progressing. Firefox, since about version 3 seems to have lost sight of things, almost like the committee is arguing on which way to go with it. Although it's more of the "amateur techy nerd geek wannabe" browser, great for people who like tinkering, don't mind reloading their computer every day or two and don't mind the pile of tv dinner trays falling over their computer in Mom's basement! Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of open source and I like the basic concept of Firefox, but they've just lost their way. When they were just copying Opera as much as they could they made great strides. Now, it's a patchwork quilt that's losing its stitches. Seems like they're more concerned on the extensions than making a good, functional browser. Sad, really. I'm using it less and less. Haven't even opened it in days. I refuse to to the update until they get some things straightened out. I use a bunch of the extensions to make it tolerable and am not going to have them broken up again. I just don't use Firefox on any site I feel needs more security, although I usually wouldn't anyway.

Here's the latest request I sent: Myself and many other Apple Safari users are having an issue with the GW site. Here are four OT threads I started in different forums on GW asking if I was the only one with the problem. I'm not. There are many of us and it seems your solution is instead of using our Safari browsers, we should switch to Chrome (Those on an IPAD can NOT use anything other than Safari!) Why are you not willing to look at the problem many of us Apple Safari users are having. Sorry but telling us to switch to Chrome (which is not even possible when using the IPad is not the answer!) Here is what happens. When I click onto a forum everything is usually fine. If I start clicking on the threads, and then click back to the forum, I get the blue box. (See attachment labeled Screen Shot 2017-05-20 and see red arrow pointing to blue box) Apparently I didn't realize this, but I also get a gray lined box around the outside of the threads that go down about 12-14 threads (See green arrow pointing to the line). Anything within that gray lined box, meaning the top 12-14 threads can not be clicked on. Nothing happens. Anything below that gray box can be clicked on. (See attachment labeled Screen Shot 2017-05-24 which shows the bottom of the gray lined box.) A company that cares about its users will not just say tough luck and switch to something else. They will find a solution. I have contacted the website request but to no avail as they tell us to switch to Chrome or it's a problem with our browser.
