Kentia Palm Browning Please Help!

I recently purchased a kentia palm and it has brought so much color and life to my apartment. In the past 2 weeks it has suddenly started to turn horribly brown. About 1/3 of the leaves have dried out and have seemed to die. Strangely though, about 2/3 of the leaves seem to be completely healthy and green - barely even a brown or yellow tip. I was watering the plant about a quart every 7 days or so and the water appeared to be draining fine. It is in a window with no direct light but a decent amount of daytime indirect light. I've recently started to spray water on the leaves with a mister in a desperate attempt to help bring it back to life. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated. The turn for the worse seemed to happen so suddenly. I can't imagine that I was over or under watering it so severely that it would brown so much in such a short amount of time.
