Sometimes I love mix ups.

I have been waiting anxiously for this bloom. And tada! Not what I ordered, it still has the original tag on it which says Sherbet Town. I was a little upset at first but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I believe it is J105 which was on the top of my want list. I have had difficulty finding it locally (aside from JJs directly which seems too much $$ for me).

Echeveria leaves - sometimes up, sometimes down

I know - I'm not sure what had happened to those poor echeveria. I think that maybe I had watered them but forgot to remove the retaining dish, and so the leaves rotted a bit? But that was a while ago and I am happy to report that they are now not only fully recuperated, but reproducing as well. (in this photo they are now tight little balls) I guess my question was mainly, what situations make them more likely to flatten out (warmth, hydration) and what situations make them ball up (cold, dehydration?).

By the form of the blooms I'd say rose 2 is Christian Dior. I don't know what the first one is but give it a chance to bloom again and see what color it is. Weather and soil can affect color sometimes.

My Frances Williams struggled for a couple of years in a spot that got afternoon sun. I moved it to a shady spot with some dappled afternoon sun and it loved it. I like the colour more in the shade too. It's very blue with a limey green edge. At the same time I had taken a small section off and planted it somewhere that got a little more sun. It's basically green with a yellow edge. It doesn't even look like the same hosta. I'd leave Frances in the shade if I were you.

Hm, that actually looks a bit like both Sherbet Town and J105. Whatever it is, it's gorgeous!

Jandey that makes me wonder if its just the conditions here that is making it appear differently from what I expected.

Sherbet Town in pictures from Thailand have more orange in them and the petals are more obtuse. But in the pictures of Sherbet Town from plumeria growers in the US, the appearance varies and leans more towards J105.

Hi musaboru - Wow! What a pretty bloom! The leaves' stems on J105 are very red if that helps.

Here is the inflo today. So maybe it is Sherbet Town after all after compaeing the colors. Mine doesnt have as much orange shading. However, the petal shape looks nothing like Sherbet Town in Thailand. Does it have something to do with the humidity?

I have both J105 and Sherbert town, yours looks more like J105. Sherbert Town even in the Inland Empire with high summer heat does not look that colorful. J105 without intense summer heat looks like your pics.

Here is my Sherbert town blooming couple seasons ago in cool coastal temps (prob low 80's in Aug/Sept).

So compare your blooms.. Who knows it maybe ST.

You decide, either way she is a looker.

Thanks for the input guys. Really appreciate it.

One thing I noticed about my plant is that the color of the flowers were unphased by the stint of May Gray. Penang Peach and Divine will easily go from bright colorful blooms to producing washed out blooms even if it was just a couple days of cold cloudy weather.

I also found this picture on Amazon listed by the seller as 'J105-2' which looks more like Sherbet Town, wonder if there some mix up in Thailand with the distributors there.

Have you tried to contact the seller and ask them if they had other people questioning their Sherbert Town orders?
Maybe the seller can shed some light on the issue.
