Checked plants. This was the 50-50 mix of peat a potting soil. Put in my moisture meter and they had dropped about 50%. I was out of perlite so I picked up some more. The potting soil was moisture control stuff. I mix peat from Lowes because it stays moist and drains real fast. It make the pots 50%+ lighter than potting soil wet. The jeeps metal skin warms real good and with a good breeze they may be ok. I will open one up tomorrow and see what it looks like and add some dry soil and perlite. The plants seemed to like the heat with full sun and temps in the 80's and a light 12 mph wind. I knew I could dry them up but was not sure about the full sun. I thought it might bake them since they were in 50% sun. We are not as wet as Florida here. We used to be but we no longer get the daytime showers off the gulf. Global warming?? We are usally in a drought even though we are 2 miles off the water. I will treat them kind of like a cactus. Many aready have leaves and a root system so it is almost time to repot anyway. Jim

I'm not an expert but like astrl said you need to cut off the damaged portion. Cut it back till you get to healthy white tissue with latex seeping. Dust the cut end with a fungicide and allow it to dry. Some people recommend sealing the cut with latex caulk. Good luck. From the pic it looks like there's a good amount of healthy stem left.

I'd like to keep you up to date and thank those people that gave advice so far. Though only 3 days have past since the last post and the pictures, I'd like to provide a new picture of the third cutting because I think it starts to build some nice callous, as the cut face started to "swell" somehow. Shortly after recutting the stem the inner and outer stuff contracted while the thin wodden-like "ring" remained as is. This still can be seen on the first picture of cutting 3 - the thin ring is sticking out. Todays picture clearly shows that the inner and outer stuff overtop the ring. The other two cuttings unfortunately don't show this promising behaviour. I will give all three of them another couple of days before potting them.

Angel325 thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, i couldn't save my plumeria. i kept cutting all rotten stems/branches off until one piece is left, but when i looked at it, it's brown inside instead of milky white. I don't know if i can still grow this plumeria with these brown looking martial inside or it's already dead. Where may i order another plumeria? It's sad b/c i was planting for my mom so i can give to her as a gift. the upload picture is the same plumeria i am planting for my mom. Any help to get the same flower...
