Treated seeds?

As John said, they are most likely treated with a fungicide. However, I'll let Smokemaster chime in with the correct answer as they were his seeds. :)

They are Caribbean red seeds.
I read about all the different seed coatings that were green and couldn't figure out what the stuff was.
One coating was to keep the seeds from sprouting until a certain moisture and heat was attained.
Another was a fungacide,another was a fertilizer,another was a preservative to keep the seeds viable during storage and it seems there were a few other green coatings too.
There were purple,pink,blue red and half a dozen other colored coatings for seeds.
I gave up trying to figure it out.Every company had their own color of seed coating.
None were poison to the plant that the seed grew but I don't know if you licked the seed if it was harmful.

They are actually magic seeds from Emerald City.
The pods they grow,when eaten take you back to Kansas.
Theres no place like home....

Cool, Carribean red, like my shoes... now I can just click them together and be whisked away. Thanks, Mike, it helps a lot to know what they are.

The only other ones I know what they might be are the brown ones.I dried some cascabels and chile negro when it wasn't very warm and the seeds took on the brownish red color of the pods.
