I didn't see enough votes for ROSES so I'll throw in a couple: Fragrant Memory - the pink rose everyone should have, mine currently has about 50 to 60 buds and blooms on it today! It's planted beside my front door so people can smell it when they come in. Pink Peace - my favorite for color and fragrance, planted on the other side of my front door. Apricot Nectar - the apricot colored rose everyone should have, beautiful! Then honorable mentions: Papa Meilland - not a prolific bloomer but makes up for it in beauty and fragrance Camelot - the orange rose that everyone should have Lagerfeld - light lavender and a to die for fragrance Rio Samba - lovely That's all I can think of at the moment...I currently have a vase on my desk with Fragrant Memory, Lagerfeld, and Apricot Nectar in it! And am overwhelmed by the fragrance.

Hi Know this is a very old post but was recently looking around for Plumeria that is evergreen and the flower is not white. Went to a special nursery was blown away by the variety !! 30 different growth habits , 25 fragrances , 15 choices among the evergreens .If that isn't enough they can custom graft to the habit color and fragrance you choose lol In my years of gardening I've always got cuttings from neighbors so have never bought one . Had no idea there was so much choice !! While i love plumeria hate the habits, get gigantic naked all winter while I found evergreen thought they only came in white and mine is only fragrant at night . While they were expensive settled for a dwarf in a soft yellow with an apricot aroma . Has not flowered as yet but still has leaves and a beautiful "weeping" habit ,supposedly will stay under 6 feet. Was tempted by the custom grafts but a bit out of my budget!! lol I always thought only roses had lots of choices !! gary

We had a crazy winter. Of course, all my plants stay outside, here in South Florida. It was a very mild one, until a few weeks ago, when we got three cold fronts that got down into the 30's. We hit 32, for a couple of hours, during the last one. The potted plants spent a total of 4 nights in the garage. Anyway, some of my Plumerias were blooming all the way into December. Others were waking up in January. The leaves have stayed small though. One cutting that I started in July, never went to sleep, and started an inflo in January. Its been coming up slow, but sure. It should have flowers in a few weeks, I imagine. I have 5 seedlings, sitting next to it in my driveway, where they have been all winter, that have been chugging along, just fine. Only one of those went to sleep, but its tiny trunk looks fine. All others, that did go, and stay, completely dormant, are now starting to stretch out their claws. I love that sight! Yes, even in Florida, we look forward to spring. I do so especially this year, figuring that most of my Plumeria have a great head start. And Jo... it is good to see you here. I haven't participated much, over the last few months, since its been so quiet. I have been peeking in every few days. It will be nice to see all the familiar names back, along with the blooms! Barbra, I keep thinking of this post and i have to say that i am right there with you!!! Thank you all for the kind wishes for my first Grandson coming in Sept. Tks Peg... Living room is always an option.. I Like that one! Kasie...im already looking for an infant Plumeria shirt for his first post to all of you to introduce him!! : ) K...you know me to well.. but, you are right.. Greenhoue it is!!! LOL NC...great idea... then after he wakes, he goes back to mom!! LOL.. It will be fun!!! I cant wait!!! Wendy...I am glad as well as my daughter.. they really think that my Plumeria are all i think about.
