yellow eggs - NOT slow release fertilizer

Hello everyone,

I am very new to gardening but I have started a vegetable garden in some pots in the backyard. I have a scotia tomato growing that until yesterday was fine, but yesterday I noticed tiny, round, translucent, orangey/yellow eggs like things covering the soil under my tomato plant. They would be about 1 - 2 mm in size (1/32 - 1/16") . There are none in any of my other plants (2 other varieties of tomatoes, chives, green onions, ginger & basil).

A side note, the day before I noticed it there were torrential downpours with thunder and lightning, so the plant and soil were drenched. Also, we have an abundance of moths (all types that I have not identified) flying around in our little yard, and we also have yellow garden spiders.

PLEASE HELP!
