Exchanges Page Please!

It's getting harder and harder to read the threads in the Discussion pages because of all the requests for seeds. Could people PLEASE post their requests for seeds in the Exchanges Pages and leave the Discussion Pages for discussion.

Just wanted to bump this back up. and please stop asking for seeds the day you join the forum, thats not what this forum is for.

Hi Blondie, Welcome to GardenWeb! I received your email regarding plant cuttings. Just FYI, if you go into your settings, you can allow your email address to show up in emails you send to members so they can reply to you that way. I now see that yours is in your header on your messages, so I'll use that address. Callicarpa americana - American Beautyberry and Myrica cerifera - Southern Wax Myrtle both grow like weeds on my property. I don't know if you still want either, but I am sure I can find a small plant or at least cuttings to send you.

Amen! I was afraid I was the only one getting annoyed. Besides requests for seeds trades belong on the exchange page.

LOL! Yeah, I went to trade seeds on the mater forum and was promptly directed to the exchanges page. I thought.. does the hot pepper forum have one of these? :)

Canadians cant post trades on the exchange page so some of us have to post here

Maybe someone else can suggest a solution to you. The posts still don't belong on this thread. Anyone else if you click on "contact us" at the bottom of the page and report misuse the administration will move the misplaced threads.

Someone moved my lemon drop thread to the exchange forum... its not really an exchange if the seeds are free is it?
I kind of enjoyed newcomers who most likely dont visit the exchange forum to have a chance at my seeds...

It's there Pepper Rancher. Just scroll down a little. Under Wanted: Wanted: Hot Pepper Medley.

For our Canadian Friends, since you can't post on that page, perhaps you can email someone directly? I know this doesn't help if you are trying to initiate a trade. But it may help a little.

Hey organicpepper grower,

It may not be the most practical solution but if you change your country to United States in your profile, you can post to the Exchange page. GW does not cross check your State/Prov. entry so most will probably pick up that you are not US based.

Regardless, you should make it clear in your post that you are in Canada.

ThatÂs exactly what I was wondering! Should free seed offers be posted to Exchanges as well? If so, why?

They have moved my free seed offers in the past. If everyone uses the exchange forum as they are supposed to, perhaps , people will get in the habit of looking there and it will get traffic.

I would vote to have seed exchanges and sase's on this forum. I got some rare seeds that I wanted (thanks John) by browsing this forum. I was not looking for them and would not have thought to look on the exchanges forum (especially since I did not have anything worthwhile to exchange). The trouble with the exchanges forum is that the peppers get lost among the flowers etc. If we are going to be forced to use the exchange forum might I suggest that the word 'pepper' be included in the subject line. This is superfulous on this forum but enables you to bring up the peppers using the search function if they are on the other forum.

If you post on the exchange portion of this forum which is chile peppers you are thought to be offering or asking for peppers. Now if you went to the seed exchange you might have to specify which seeds you have or want, i.e. flowers, peppers, etc. I don't see the problem, I always check the exchange list as well on a daily basis.
