One of my neighbors was throwing this table out and I just happened to walk by and see it. Being the DIY guy that I am, I couldn't just leave it sitting there !!

It was totally accidental how this worked out, but my seedlings ended up on top and the overwinters on the bottom . I wasn't thinking about it on any conscious level y'know , but it makes sense now. Anyhow, when I water my solo cups the water drips down into the overwinters, providing them with just enough water !

I bought some Scotch Bonnets at the fancy grocery store around here. Some of you may have read that I turned them into flakes ! In the process I seeded quite a few of them, dried them in a cabinet and recently planted a few. These bad boys germinated in like three days !! I put them in the germination station and then they popped soil in another two days !! They are under the light now.

If anyone is interested, I have about 30 seeds left, I will send 5 seeds to anyone if they are interested til they run out.

If this photobucket doesn't work, feel free to ridicule me. :)

I don't think there's a better feeling than when you create something with your own hands and it turns out better than you imagined. It feels good to sit back and take it all in. I upgraded my setup yesterday. I added cross beams on the top and an additional shelf. I'm up to 3 lights now, and I doubt that will be enough. I have some peppers(under the towel) germinating on the bottom. Seedlings are under the lights, while cucumbers, tomatoes, and cantaloupes are on the top. Congrats on the successful DIY project. Hopefully your season will turn out just as good.
