The first meeting of the SCPS is one week from tomorrow, March 2, at 1:30 in the Community center of Murdy Park at Norma and Goldenwest (one block north of Warner). Goldenwest crosses the 405 freeway in Westminister and Murdy park is about two miles south toward the beach. The meeting is open to the public and plant sales as well as drawings for plants and cuttings will take place. Membership is $15 a year ($20 for a pair). There are usually several hundred growers, collectors and plumie lovers who attend to listen to speakers, buy or sell plants and mingle with the crowd. If you come, bring some snacks or a bag of cookies to add to the snack table. This is a good place to find some of the exotics at very reasonable prices, many of which are several year old well established, fully rooted plants. FYI Bill
