Hi,

It hit 28 degrees in my yard, a first ever 42 years living in the San Fernando Valley, In Southern CA..Those living in cold area protect your plants, but we never get this cold. I covered my plants in the ground with sheets, but the winds blew them off. This morning the plants in the ground, the leaves are black/brown, the stems are soft and damp hanging downward on the canes.

Now.. has anyone ever had this happen? Will I lose my plumeria? Will the cane or what ever its suppose to be correctly called die to the roots? is green so far. Is suppose to be several days of cold weather freezing, covering again.

How did all of you do...did you have probems too? Ruthann said snow.. will we lose our plumie babies? I sure hope not..would be devistating.

Karen B.
