Information on eBay seller

I am new to GardenWeb. Has anyone ever bought seeds from threebunnys on Ebay before? He has a couple of auctions with over 100 diff varieties of peppers and 100 diff tomatoes for a very reasonable price. He does have a 100% feedback but I wanted to see if anyone here had experience buying from them. These auctions end today so I was hoping for some feedback before I bid.

Find a responsible chile seed purveyor, not Ebay. I have seen lots of unhappy chile purchases on Ebay.

Ebay purveyors count on the unintiated to peddle bad seed and fruit and you have no way to check until the purchase is complete. Chile seeds are not a commodity item.

I agree with willard3. Get your seeds from a reliable seed company if you want to be sure of what you're getting. It may cost you a little more (maybe) but you'll come out better knowing you'll get what you ordered.

I just received an order from Durham Botanicals last week. Great looking plants and he has several varieties. You'll have to tell him what you want and he can verify if he has it. He wants orders of 6 or more as a minimum. I got together with two people from work to order. You can email him at - chris@durhambotanicials.com. I am very happy with the quality of the plants. He has two different variegated adeniums too. I have attached a pic of several we purchased from Chris. He is also on facebook in the adenium groups. terryjean - about the hardiness being listed as zone 7; Most of the HT's listed on HMFR are listed that way and I have found very few that I had trouble getting through a southern Michigan winter. There might not be much left of the prior years' canes, but they always seem to come back fine. Really, the only ones I have had troubles with are roses that are on Dr. Huey, and were body bags the prior year. The only HT not a body bag (off the top of my head) that I had trouble was Jocelyn. I finally gave that rose up just this year after trying for 4 years. This includes a lot of florist roses I have propagated and then left it to fend for itself for the winter.

i purchased a plant from him. it is beautiful and i would love to get something else. i would hesitate to order. the pictures, as you can see on the ebay listings, are very good. i'm a newbie and the clandestina i ordered has about 8 little things (nodes/peduncles) that are trying to grow and push leaves or something out.

i know not all sellers on ebay are trustable, but chikenbones is, ive delt with him before i bought carribean red seeds from him, they were great and were true to name, i plan on buying some more from him this year and bhut jolokia pepper seeds, though pricy, he dose a great job, but im planing to start saving seeds this year to prevent me from having to rebuy every year.

gardenlover, I bought seed from threebunny's last year and every seed grew true and had great germination on all of them. I would not pay what he is getting right now on them. I bought 40 something from him. There are a lot of scam artists on Ebay like willard said so it would be buyer beware.

I just bought a bunch of seeds from Threebunnies who has a 100% Ebay rating and feel like I have a good chance at some good peppers. I have catalogs, but many want a dollar or two a pack whereas Threebunnies gives 6 or 7 seeds but gives a large assortment for a reasonable cost. If I bought packets from catalogs, the Ebay purchase I just made would have cost five times as much.

While I realize life is all about risk, I think you can find good deals on Ebay. Certainly I've racked up hundreds or various purchases and rarely got burned.

I purchased seeds from Threebunnys (NOT Threebunnies) last year and was very pleased. I posted positive comments (with pic) over in the Rate and Review Vendors Forum (see link below). Threebunnys gets a definate Thumbs UP from me.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I missed out on that auction, however I see he has listed up a couple of even bigger seed auctions now, wish me luck in bidding on these.
