I recently bought 3 bare root peonies from Adleman Gardens. They were between $16-$25/plant. I later went to my local nursery, Portland Nursery, which has a good reputation for having great plants and their peonies were $9.99. Granted, they were not the exact same variety but they were considerably cheaper eg Nippon Beauty at Adleman is $14 but $9.99 at Portland Nursery. What's the difference in price? Is the quality somehow better? Oh - and Portland Nursery is not cheap... They're typically a bit more spendy that other places.
