Flamethrower Palm Rescue

ladyver

This summer I planted three flame thrower palms (1 single 1 double). They are planted in similar locations of the yard. The single is doing beautifully because of a windbreak provided by a thin trunk of a neighboring queen palm, but the double got hammered with our recent winds. The new frond is crispy, the old fronds are in bad shape, and I'm hoping it can be salvaged. Given the slow rate of growth, I'm worried. I need to dig it out and relocate it. I have a good sheltered place for it, but should I dig it up and let it recover in a large pot before transplanting? Any advice on how to help this poor tree recover would be much appreciated!
