Saving Clippings

I saw a little blurb about being able to save your clippings for future reference, which I think is a great idea. But I can't see how to do it. For example, I'd love to save the Organic Lawn Care FAQ as a clipping, as I refer back to it frequently. But I don't see any option to "save as a clipping" anywhere on the page. How does one go about saving a post like this as a clipping?

Ok, sheepishly, I just saw up in the right hand corner the graphic of the scissors and the options to clip the post I just made However, that's not visible on the Organic Lawn Care FAQ. Are there some pages that are able to be clipped and others that aren't?

That is a relatively new option and not all posts have been included in it. For older posts you might want to save you probably can do a copy and paste.

After saving a clipping, you can see your previously saved clippings. You can then delete old clippings. There is an option for mailing clippings to an email address.

There was a lot of swearing, believe me! After that, when I tried to re-add clippings that I hadn't saved before, nothing worked. So I logged out, closed the site, reopened, logged in again, went back to the post and tried to add it again. I was instructed to log in. Below is a screen shot. If you can't make it out, it shows the log in page and in the upper right hand corner it says "Welcome drc215", clearly indicating I am logged in. I found the Contact Us link, sent them a message, shut the whole thing down, and realized it was too early in the morning for a G&T. I really am good with computers. Really.

How do I save clippings?

Do you see the cliggings thingy to the right of the message? If so, the first 3 words are 'clip this post'. They run together with 'email this postwhat is this...no punctuation between and a little confusing all run together like that. You just click that, and then on the next page check mark 'save to my clippings'. If you aren't seeing any of this, I'd suggest you ask at the Computer forum. I use Opera, must have several pop-up blockers because I NEVER see any, but you may have some 'images' blocked. Sue Here is a link that might be useful: Computer Help Forum

First go to the post, or thread that you want to clip. Click on Clip this post over to the right of the message. It will then take you to another screen, and then you can choose to cancel it, or save it. You must also choose to make the clipping either public or private. To then see what all you have clipped you go to the See my Clippings link on your member page. If you have chosen to make any of them public clippings, then others can also see your clippings...you can see mine. Just a little FYI. You can only save 50 clippings. The system will not allow you to save any more than that.....Also, if a post you have clipped happens to get to the last page (67) and drops off the page, you will also lose that clipping. For that reason, I occasionally copy some of my clippings to Word (or something) so they won't be lost...particularly if it is a really good recipe or something. Sue
