Well, it's frustrating, but on more than one occasion my brain has gone south. I do understand. At least it happened with something where re-processing doesn't affect quality and you caught it quickly. You're out lids and time and utilities, but that's still a lot better than the risk of not re-doing. Carol

Oh wow, how I envy you, Danielle. In the past, I've been involved with several Comm. theaters. my way of memorization was in a tape recorder, I recorded the other lines, when the script came to my lines, I would think them, reading the script,leaving a blank in the tape, then resume the lines after mine. When I had the whole script recorded, I would play the tape, saying my lines, I carried the tape player around the house as I worked, and in no time I didn't have to use the script. What is the play you are doing? We moved to this new area 4 yrs ago, and there isn't any comm theater active in the area. I soooooo miss it. Dottie

I painted some kitchen chairs black a few years ago, and had good results using satin spray paint after wiping down with a degreasing cleaner. These chairs already had a factory painted finish, so going over a wood finish might not give you the same results. I'd try it first on one chair, and if it doesn't look good, you can always get out the brushes and use a stain blocking primer and latex or enamel paint. I've used leftover eggshell wall paint followed by paste wax as well. Anyway, after spraying, I went over the chairs with paste wax and very fine steel wool (000 IIRC) to knock down the overspray roughness and give them a low sheen. They have held up well for 15 years, with a few nicks and scratches. If you want any distressing, just rub a bit harder in spots with the steel wool. Good luck.
